Early overreactions
The early season was a mess of overreactions. Grant, Brad, and Livingston jumped out to 3-1 starts, while Kyle and Caleb stumbled to 1-3. Only one of those hot starts actually meant anything: Brad kept rolling all year, while Grant and Livingston cooled off hard and never fully recovered. Kyle and Caleb, on the other hand, turned it around and played their way into the final four.
Midseason separation
By midseason, Mike and Brad had separated from the pack for good, with Mike closing weeks 9-11 undefeated to lock up the #1 seed. Jake had a nice run in there too before three straight losses killed his momentum right when it counted.
Week 15 · playoff knife fight
The playoff race came down to the wire in Week 15: Grant needed a win over Mike to stay alive, put up 195.5 points, and lost anyway — by 0.2 (the closest game of the year — ever?), leaving him on the outside at 7-8. Brutal.
